Question: What is wrong with using the

traditional disposable ear insert?

-Disposable ear inserts muffle speech and music.

-They reduce more high frequencies than low and mid

frequencies which make voice and sounds very unnatural and unclear.

-This tends to force the wearer to constantly remove or improperly insert the ear plug to compensate for the poor sound quality which defeats the purpose of ear protection.

ER-9,15, 25dB Musician Plugs

Unlike a traditional disposable ear plug, the Musician Plugs will reduce sound throughout all frequencies in a flat response, resulting in a clear and natural sound. They comprise of a custom earmold, with a unique filter attenuating either 9,15 or 25 dB of sound.
-Example- a drummer exposed to 105 dB with a ER-25 filter will hear at a 80 dB level.
-Custom plugs come in a variety of styles and colors.

Acoustic Filtered Plugs

The acoustic Filtered Plug is designed to reduce high frequency sounds more so than low frequencies. They are generally used in an environment with more exposure to high frequencies (treble) than low frequencies (bass) and allow the user to hear normal speech. A brass instrument player would suit this plug. Capable of up to 28db noise reduction.
